Why we love VÖOST Performance Vitamin B+

4 minutes to read

Vitamin B + Performance is one of our absolute favourite products to take all year round - and for good reason! This product is jampacked with essential vitamins and minerals and is perfect for people with an active and busy lifestyle. This product was originally launched in an orange flavour however, since this product has grown in popularity so much we’ve just launched a second 'Apple + Berry' flavour for those who prefer berry based flavours!

Below, we have four reasons why we love this product… and think you will also.

1. B Vitamins

Containing eight important B Vitamins, VÖOST Performance helps support energy production. In total there are eight vitamins that make up the B Vitamin group,¹ all of which can be found in VÖOST Performance:

  • Thiamine (Vit B1) (as Thiamine Hydrochloride)

  • Riboflavin (Vit B2) (as Riboflavin Sodium Phosphate)

  • Nicotinamide (Vit B3)

  • Pantothenic Acid (Vit B5) (as Calcium Pantothenate)

  • Pyridoxine (Vit B6) (as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride)

  • Cyanocobalamin (Vit B12)

  • Folic Acid (Vit B9)

  • Biotin (Vit B7)

Most of these vitamins can be found in everyday foods such as milk, leafy green vegetables, fish, poultry, mushrooms, fruits and more.1 While these B vitamins can be found naturally in everyday foods, it’s important to know that they can be easily destroyed during the cooking process.¹

B Vitamins play many critical roles within the body. They help release energy from food, maintain nervous system health, support blood health and maintain skin health.¹

2. Magnesium

Magnesium is essential for over 300 cellular functions,2 magnesium plays an essential role in energy production.²

Magnesium can be found in spinach, legumes, nuts, seeds and furthermore this popular mineral can sometimes be found as an added ingredient in some breakfast cereals.²

There is evidence that a slight magnesium deficiency can impair exercise performance and thereby increase the negative consequences of strenuous exercise such as oxidative stress.³

If you'd like more information on how magnesium can help with exercise, we have a link to an expert article here.

3. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a versatile vitamin that can be found in a vast range of foods such as oranges, blackcurrants, berries and broccoli.⁴

Vitamin C is commonly known for its vital role in healthy immune function however, it also helps support bone health, helps maintain healthy teeth, enhances absorption of dietary iron and helps support connective tissue health.⁵

4. Zinc

Zinc also helps support healthy immune function and reduces free radicals formed in the body.⁶ This essential mineral can be found in everyday foods such as meat, shellfish, legumes, seeds, nuts and dairy.⁶ VÖOST Performance also contains Zinc if you need help filling those nutritional gaps.
